The crew-neck sweater as it should be: a slim ribbed collar that lies flat at the neck and does not stretch out, a calm cut, no logos, no patterns. Dark blue is the color that works as well under a blazer and coat as it does on its own with jeans.
Knitted in 18 gauge from pure merino wool. That is a very fine gauge: the knit is thin, smooth and soft, adds hardly any bulk and still keeps you warm. So it slips easily under a blazer without tightness at the arm.
Long sleeves with narrow ribbed cuffs and a slightly wider rib at the hem. This way the sweater keeps its line, even after many washes.
Material: 100% merino wool, 18 gauge. Gentle cycle at 30 degrees or hand wash, dry flat. Fit: regular. Sizes 48 to 60.
